The director of Bike Bakersfield, Lauren Franconi, wore a T-shirt to the bike polo match stating to get on your bikes and ride. The bike polo games at Jastro Park let people get exercise while having fun.

A group of friends get together occasionally to try their hand at bike polo with croquet mallets and balls.

The next game is scheduled for Thursday, May 22 in Jastro Park from 6 to 7 p.m.

It's a game for fun and exercise and it also encourages people to ride their bicycles more often, players said.
