About 17 firefighters responded to a fire about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the diner on the 12400 block of Mountain Mesa Road. A gas station is next door to the diner, but it received no fire damage. No one was injured in the fire, as the cafe was closed.

Firefighters put out the fire in 30 minutes. The fire appeared to be accidental, said fire department spokesman Sean Collins.
