A woman in her 70s was attacked by a dog Tuesday morning in Lake Isabella when she tried to stop several dogs from fighting each other, firefighters said.

At least one or more dogs mauled the woman in the 5100 block of Caliente Bodfish Road, said Kern County Fire Department Capt. Tommy Brown. Brown did not know the breed of the dogs.
The victim suffered injuries to her left arm and leg and was flown to the nearest hospital, Brown said.
Brown did not know what happened to the dogs.
