From the bagpipes to the caber toss, the 19th annual Kern County Scottish Games & Gathering was a celebration of culture and community.

The Kern County Scottish Society event held at the Kern County Fairgrounds included food, live music, dancing and of course the traditional games, put on by Scottish Heavy Athletics.

Californian photographer Casey Christie shares these images from the day.
