Racks for wedding dresses were available for future brides to purchase during Saturday's Brides for a Cause event held at The Patino. The event continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

You might say these brides-to-be achieved double success: They found stylish, less expensive dresses for themselves while also helping other women have a wedding.

The Brides for a Cause dress sales event, which continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, benefits Wish Upon a Wedding. That non-profit provides weddings to people with terminal illnesses and other major life-changers.

The event is at The Patino, 425 30th St.

Photographer Nick Ellis shares these images from Saturday's event.
