Running back Skylar Valencia breaks away for a nice game Saturday at East High.

UPDATED, 12:57 a.m.: The regular season has finished, and Central Section playoff seeding will be unveiled tomorrow afternoon, after the section commissioners finish sorting through some big messes in ranking these teams. That's particularly true in Division I, where presumed No. 1 seed Edison lost 24-14 to Bullard, giving the No. 1 seed (I think) to Bakersfield and making 2-6 incredibly difficult to seed. My best guess, at this point, is as follows:

1. Bakersfield; 2. Liberty; 3. Central; 4. Bullard; 5. Edison; 6. Clovis North; 7. Clovis; 8. Clovis West; 9. Stockdale; 10. Centennial; 11. Buchanan; 12. Clovis East

But I could also see Bullard hopping all the way up to No. 2 based on its win against Edison. Do that, and Liberty and Edison, in some order, become Nos. 3 and 4. But would the committee really relegate TRAC champions Central and Clovis North outside the top four? I don't see it.

We'll find out, and I'll tweet out the seedings as soon as I see them. I'll also blog the brackets, but you'll get the quickest updates on Twitter. I'm @zewing.

Also tomorrow are the Kern County Championships in cross country, beginning at 11 a.m., and the Central Section girls tennis individual chapmionships in Wasco, with semifinals at 10 a.m. and championship matches at 1 p.m. Busy day.

Before we go, here's the final stock report of the season heading into the playoffs.

Trending up: Bakersfield, Garces, North, Liberty, Wasco, Bakersfield Christian, Desert, Highland

Holding steady: Tehachapi, West, Shafter, South, Frontier

Trending down: Stockdale, Centennial, Kern Valley, East

UPDATED, 9:43 p.m.: Garces able to run the clock out behind the strong legs of Sheldon Croney, who finishes with 168 yards and all three Rams touchdowns on 27 carries.

Final score: Garces 24, Tehachapi 14.

UPDATED, 9:37 p.m.: Garces has to punt it back, and Tehachapi has good field position but not much time to do anything with it.

Liberty recovers a Centennial fumble and cashes it in for a touchdown and a 23-0 lead in the Freedom Bowl. Patriots on the verge of a 9-1 season.

Here, the Warriors have fourth and goal from the Garces 10. Chris Llamas rolls out and finds Chris Rhodes open at the goal line. Touchdown. It's 24-14, but only 2:45 left.

Onside kick for Tehachapi. Nice high bounce. Blake Logan is there for Garces, and he covers it.

UPDATED, 9:28 p.m.: Tehachapi faces fourth-and-4, and the Warriors choose to punt. That's almost a white flag at this point, with Tehachapi down three possessions and less than nine minutes to play.

It's Wasco 28-14 over Shafter in the third quarter, and Liberty extends its lead over Centennial to 16-0.

UPDATED, 9:22 p.m.: David Grimm's sack of Chris Llamas causes a fumble and Dom Frasch recovers. Garces really in business at the Tehachapi 22 as the third quarter ends.

A personal foul penalty at the beginning of the fourth quarter moves Garces to the 13, and then Croney does the rest. A counter play, and he romps into the end zone for his third touchdown of the night.

UPDATED, 9:13 p.m.: Garces has bled the third-quarter clock all the way down to 57 seconds as the Rams drive down to the Tehachapi 10. Sheldon Croney with 53 yards on this drive. Now he has 63. Draw play, and he bounces off two defenders for the touchdown. 17-7 Garces, 47 seconds left in the third quarter.

UPDATED, 9:00 p.m.: Tehachapi forces a three-and-out and is now driving on Garces, trailing 10-7. But now Jake Stuart comes up with a big hit on Skylar Valencia and that loses 4. Tehachapi will have to punt after the next play. Garces holding on, 10-7, midway through the third quarter.

UPDATED, 8:48 p.m.: We're still with no video for the second half, at least for the moment, but Louis is on his way with a chance maybe to get us on video for the fourth quarter. I have managed to get some scores up below, and I'll try to update this game as we go, too.

It's 10-7 Garces here, about to start the second half. Tehachapi scored on David Carter's 1-yard run with 13 seconds left in the half to cut into the league.

UPDATED, 7:43 p.m.: No video broadcast tonight for the first half, as I mentioned. It'll be audio only. Check it out on I'll update scores as best I can, but don't expect many updates in the first half, because i'm holding my phone to broadcast.

ORIGINAL POST: Sorry this is up so late, but it's a busy time in high school sports.

Volleyball seeding was released today, with Centennial earning the No. 1 seed in Division I, followed by Clovis West, Stockdale, Clovis, Buchanan, Liberty and Frontier.

El Diamante is No. 1 in Division II, followed by Tehachapi and Independence. If seeds hold and the Warriors and Falcons play in the semifinals, that will be a doozy on the mountain.

CVC is No. 1 and a heavy favorite in D-III; Shafter and Highland are seeded 4-5.

Bakersfield Christian is the top seed in D-IV over Woodlake and Dos Palos.

Football seedings come out tomorrow, of course, after we're through with all of tonight's action. Also tomorrow are the Kern County Championships in cross country at Hart Park, plus the section tennis individual finals, with Stockdale top seeds Arianna Tilbury in singles and Cara Kemp-Emily Horrigan in doubles looking strong through the first two rounds today.

Whew. And before all of that, we have a heck of a Week 10 to get to tonight. Our game of the week is Tehachapi at Garces, but there are many places I wish I could be tonight. Stockdale-Bakersfield, Liberty-Centennial, Wasco-Shafter and North-East are all worth keeping a very close eye on, and I will here on the blog.

As for the live broadcast — it will be audio-only, if we can even swing that. Louis Amestoy, our producer, was at a conference in Philadelphia this week, and his return flight was delayed and he won't make it back in time for the game. We still plan on having an audio broadcast, but there are some logistical hurdles there, too.

Either way, I'll be updating the blog all night — in much more detail if the live stream isn't working. BVarsity Live will stream as usual at 11 tonight. And I'll post seedings tomorrow ASAP.
