Little monsters took the Kern County Museum by storm Monday night for the annual Safe Halloween event. Kids trick-or-treated around Pioneer Village, played games and competed in a costume contest.

Scared you missed all the fun? Never fear: the spooky fun returns Halloween night from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $10 for children ages 3 to 12, $5 for adults, and free for children younger than 2 with a paid adult.
