It's not very often you seen a flower shop operating out of a 1959 Aristocrat trailer. But The Rustic Petal is changing things up in the local flower industry.

The new mobile flower shop is hosting its grand opening from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in front of The Round Up, 5805 Rosedale Hwy. According to its Facebook page, the Rustic Petal will be selling individual, fresh-cut flowers along with pre-made, hand-wrapped bouquets and pumpkins with succulents, just in time for the fall holidays.

Morgan Tasos, the founder and owner of The Rustic Petal, came up with the idea in April and has been working hard since to make the business happen.

Tasos said she came up with the idea because making arrangements has always been a hobby, but her favorite part about flowers is the joy they bring to people.

"I love the smiles that are brought to their faces when they buy flowers," she told The Californian. "(The Rustic Petal) is more about the people than the flowers."

When asked how she was feeling about her grand opening, Tasos said, "I'm so nervous. I’ve never done anything like this before."

But she is also excited to get her flower business started.

If you like to have fresh and colorful arrangements in your home, head over to the Rustic Petal Saturday. Tasos said she will have eucalyptus, sunflowers, dahlias, ranunculus, roses, craspedia drumsticks and more. The arrangements start at $25.

The Rustic Petal plans to be out from 9 a.m. to noon every weekend in front of The Round Up.
