The owners of Anita's Mexican Grill are again cooking up aid for victims of natural disaster in their native El Salvador.

From 2-10 p.m. Saturday, four main entrees for $20 each will be served, beverage included.

All proceeds and tips collected will be used to buy food, medicine and other provisions in El Salvador, where some 140 people were killed in floods and mudslides two weeks ago.

The communities of San Vicente, Verapaz and San Isidro were especially hard hit.

On the menu:

* arroz con pollo,

* chile verde platter,

* steak picado platter,

* pupusa.

The owners, Anita and Jose Villatoro, have done this before as their home country was devastated by 1998's hurricane and a massive earthquake in 2001. They learned that a hands-on approach is the best way to ensure that victims' needs are met.

"They want to make sure it actually gets to the people who need it," said daughter Vanessa Villatoro.

She said someone from the family will travel to El Salvador with the funds and buy supplies to be distributed with the help of a church and some others.

Anita's is at 4240 California Ave.
