The California Living Museum announced Wednesday that it has released a new mobile app to help visitors plan their trips to the zoo and stay informed about CALM's upcoming events.

CALM’s mobile app features photography, audio, video, social media interaction and geo mapping.

With the geo-mapping feature, guests can use the interactive map to see their exact location on the zoo grounds in relation to other exhibits and attractions around them, and it plots the visitor’s course as they make their way from exhibit to exhibit, a news release said.

Also, each of the animals at CALM have a dedicated page on the app. Each page includes that animal's scientific name, facts, and audio files so guests can hear the sounds they make. There are also narrated short stories about CALM’s most beloved residents and behind-the-scenes video footage.

And since you love taking photos, the app allows guests to choose one of CALM’s photo frames and capture a fun memory of their zoo visit. The photos can be saved and shared via social media.
