This is no illusion: This month's "Celebrities of Magic" show will feature talent from Bakersfield and beyond.

Monday's show will include performances from local comedy magician Gus Flamingo and Los Angeles variety performer Lindsay Benner.

Described as a mix of Lucille Ball and Charlie Chaplin, Benner is a comedy juggler and magician who's a regular at The Magic Castle in Hollywood and has emceed at Brookledge, the private theater named as one of the Travel Channel's Top 10 "most exclusive destinations."

Flamingo, aka Mark Price, is a local favorite known for self-deprecating humor and sillier magic.

Part of the ongoing magic series founded by local magician Ron Saylor, the show is the penultimate one in the season, which concludes with Southern California magician Rob Zabrecky on Aug. 13.

The all-ages show starts at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the theater, 12748 Jomani Drive. Tickets are $25, available by calling 587-3377.
