Graduating as No. 1 in the top 20 with a GPA of 4.35 is Rica Ballesteros. Rica will attend Delano High School after which she would like to attend UCLA to study architecture and engineering. Rica’s goals are to design and create homes, publish her own book and have it hit the best-selling list.
Taking the No. 2 slot with a GPA of 4.32, Eric Hernandezwill move on to Delano High School. Eric plans to student liberal studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and has set goals to become a teacher and to travel.
Anibal Garcia has the third-highest GPA of 4.3. He will also be attending Delano High School Anibal has plans to study history at Stanford. He has not settled on a particular career goal yet but plans to explore his many options.
Kevin Landa graduates with a GPA of 4.29. He will be attending Delano High School. Kevin would also like to attend UCLA and is interested in studying technology. Kevin’s dream job is to become a professional soccer player.
Sharing a two-way tie with a GPA of 4.29 is Erynne Mae Dela Cruz. After attending Delano High School, Erynne Maie plans to study medicine at UCLA. Her career goal is to become a doctor.
Natalie Lara is also graduating with a GPA of 4.28. Natalie will attend Delano High School after which she plans to major in business at Cal Poly or UCLA. She would like to have a career in accounting.
In another two-way GPA tie is Jared Martinez. Jared’s GPA is 4.27 and he will attend Delano High School. Jared plans to start at Bakersfield College and is interested in studying engineering or architecture. He plans to graduate from college and get a good job so that he can support his family.
Also with a GPA of 4.27, Lorena Nunez earned her spot in the top 20. After graduating from Delano High School, Lorena plans to attend UCLA to study economics. Her future career goal is to become a lawyer.
Roberto Andrade is in another two-way GPA tie. He earned a GPA of 4.26 and will attend Delano High School for the next four years. Robert’s future plans include attending Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, majoring in architecture and becoming an architect.
The second Patriot with a GPA of 4.26 is Alexander Sauceda. Alexander will attend Chavez High School. His plan is to attend UCLA to study medicine. Alexander would like to become a surgeon.
First in a three-way tie is Mia Chavez. Mia earned her place in the top 20 with a GPA of 4.25. After attending Delano High School, she would like to major in languages at UC San Diego. Mia is interested in a career as a courtroom translator.
The second graduate with a GPA of 4.25 is Daniela Gonzalez. Daniela will continue her education at Delano High School. After studying economics at UCLA, she would like to eventually have a career as a lawyer.
Fernando Sanchez is the third Patriot with a GPA of 4.25. After he finishes at Chavez High School, Fernando’s goals are to study music Berklee College of Music and to become a band teacher.
With another two-way tie, Christian De La Cruz is graduating with a GPA of 4.23. Christian will continue his educational journey at Delano High School. Christian’s plan is to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, to pursue a degree in psychology. His goal is to be able to help as many people as he can.
Nada Hassan has earned a GPA of 4.23 as well. Nada will attend Delano High School after which she would like to study biology at Cal State Bakersfield. Her future career goal is to become a registered nurse.
Matthew Garay has earned a GPA of 4.22 and will attend Chavez High School next year. Matthew has not settled yet on a particular career, but he plans to study communications at Fresno State.
With a GPA of 4.2, Aaron Rodriguezwill trade being a Patriot for becoming a Titan at Chavez High School. Aaron’s plan is to attend UCLA to study video game design (yes, this is an actual major). Aaron’s career goals are to be in the NBA, become a video game designer and a YouTuber.
In a three-way tie, Ruma Concepcion has earned a GPA of 4.19. Ruma will attend Delano High School and plans to further her education at UCLA. She would like to become an architect.
Also with a GPA of 4.19 is Zsaby Diana. Zsaby’s plan is to graduate from Delano High School, and then study creative writing at Columbia University. Zsaby’s goals are to improve her leadership skills, increase her knowledge and training, have a substantial amount of earnings and to acquire new experiences.
Our third top 20 scholar with a GPA of 4.19 is Alessandra Hernando. Alessandra is moving on to become a Delano High School Tiger. Alessandra also plans to attend UCLA to study music. Her career goal is to become a pianist.
