Kent Kuehl has been an artist and page designer with The Californian for 21 years. Kuehl was born and raised in the California Central Valley area. After high school Kuehl served in the U.S. Army and afterward graduated from College of the Sequoias in Visalia. He worked in advertising for a year and then went on to newspaper work with the Tulare Advance-Register and then the Visalia Times-Delta. Kuehl started with The Californian in September 1989 and has produced maps, charts, informational graphics and illustrations that accompany the stories in the paper on a daily basis.
