Ross Priest doesn’t know how to career move without making it a transcontinental journey. Recently moved 2,000-plus miles to Bakersfield with his wife, Karen, and son, Landon, along with their 2-year-old black lab-mix Jackson, after living 18 months in Gastonia, North Carolina. Worked previously as a sports reporter and sports editor at The Sun in Yuma, Ariz., for 35 months before moving to Gastonia, N.C, in June of 2004. During his college years, was a part-time sports reporter at The Star Press (Muncie, Ind.), the Peoria Journal Star (Peoria, Ill.) and the NewsTribune (LaSalle, Ill.). Born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. Went to Bradley University (Peoria, Ill.) for a few years, transferred back home and graduated from Ball State University (Muncie, Ind.). Now he’s here and just hoping that California doesn't slide off the continental shelf during his stay or the Lake Isabella Dam doesn’t break.
