The Choral Music Educators of the Kern High School District (KHSD) will be hosting the 13th Annual “Real Men Sing” workshop Friday, September 15, 2017, from 9:20-11:45 a.m. at Bakersfield High School, in the Harvey Auditorium.

This workshop is bringing together over 600 young men from high schools and junior high and middle schools in Kern County and gives them the opportunity to work with a guest clinician on singing technique, teamwork and the importance of music in life.

The guest clinician this year is Steven Hankle, Ph.D., a highly sought-after choral conductor and educator. A native of Chicago, IL, Dr. Hankle received both undergraduate and master’s degrees in Music Education and conducting from San Francisco State University and his Ph.D. in Choral Conducting and Music Education from Florida State University.
