Bike Bakersfield is hosting a Smart Cycling Traffic Skills Course aiming to teach riders safety and how to navigate traffic as a cyclist. This two-day course will be held on Feb. 16th at 100 Tulare St. on Friday, and on Feb. 17, the class will be held at 2727 F St. on Saturday.

As part of the educational programs, the Executive Director and League Cycling Instructor Jack Becker is leading the course.

The class is free for Bike Bakersfield members. If you are not a member, you can sign up for the class and be contacted about becoming a member for $25.

Students must complete both sessions in one weekend and must also complete an assessment before receiving their certification.

You will need to have a fully functional bike and a helmet to participate. If you need help with your bike or obtaining a helmet, make arrangements with Bike Bakersfield before the event.
