Jeff Evans presently covers Cal State Bakersfield and Bakersfield College, and fills in when needed in other areas such as preps, Blaze, boxing, and miscellaneous local sporting events. Has covered the CIF Central Section high school basketball championship games in Fresno yearly since 2007.

BC's conference has changed slightly, with Pasadena and Moorpark coming in and El Camino leaving.
The more significant change is the Southern California Football Association (which BC is a part of) has combined the National and Central divisions, forming three seven-team conferences. BC is in the National Division.
The American Division will remain the same but will add two Central Division teams, giving it two eight-team divisions.
Four teams will qualify for the SoCal playoffs.
BC will remain in the National Northern Conference. Other teams are Allan Hancock, Canyons, Cerritos, Moorpark, Pasadena and Ventura.
