The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted for check and credit card fraud.
On Jan. 14, the victim's vehicle was burglarized in the Rite Aid parking lot at 2681 Oswell St. Later, the suspect used one the victim's stolen checks to purchase merchandise at the Wal-Mart at 8700 Rosedale Highway.
On another occasion, the victim's stolen credit card was used to purchase gas at the Fastrip at 6501 Niles St. The suspect vehicle used in this offense was a black full-sized four-door truck with a cross bed tool box.
The suspect in the Wal-Mart case appears to be a Caucasian or Hispanic woman, late 20s, early 30s, with shoulder length dark hair.
