The Bakersfield Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in identifying a suspect conspiring to commit burglary and fraud.

On March 29, between 3:45 and 7 a.m., the suspect depicted in the attached surveillance video made contact with a clerk at a local convenience store and offered to pay the clerk $5,000 in exchange for being allowed to install a debit/credit card skimming device on the ATM machine located within the store.

The man appears to be of an unknown race, dark complexioned, medium height and build, having short dark hair, wearing a grey sweater with a hood, a light colored t-shirt and blue pants. The suspect drove a grey or silver (possibly) Honda sedan.

Anyone with information about this suspect is encouraged to contact Det. M. E. Hilliard at 326-3567.
