In December 2009, Jamie traded cows for carrots and joined the staff of the Bakersfield Californian. When she's not wrangling online blogs and comments, Jamie is raising her young son, inevitably playing fetch with her dogs, working on completing her master's degree, wishing she had time to run a fourth marathon, and searching for Mr. Right.

Registration changes coming to Bakersfield.com WEDNESDAY

Yes, it's finally time.

The database has been scrubbed, holiday vacations (and tonsillectomies) are over, testing was successful, and the wires are all uncrossed (we hope).

Beginning early Wednesday morning, you will see a new screen when you log in to comment on an article or blog here on Bakersfield.com. 

Usernames and passwords will remain the same. If you have any problems logging in, please email me at jbutow@bakersfield.com or call me at 395-7318. 

And please be nice. We aren't trying to exclude anyone, but transferring the entire database ... we could run into an unforeseen glitch. I promise to do everything I can to get you logged in as soon as humanly possible.
