Delicious barbecue tri-tip will be served from noon to 5 p.m. May 19 at the group picnic area behind Kern River Golf Course, next to Lake Ming, to benefit Pyles Boys Camp.

Thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes, including a 55-inch big-screen TV, will be up for grabs.

Pyles Boys Camp was founded in 1949 to give disadvantaged boys a chance to learn leadership and life skills to become successful, valued members of their community.

Adults are $15 and kids 12 and under are free.
