Who can address these problems at my park?

Q: I don't know to whom I should tell these comments/concerns. The park in our neighborhood, Garden Park, is a pain. There are druggies there in broad daylight doing the drugs and alcohol, most of them 13 to 22.
Can there be more police patrol there? And there needs to be more lighting there because there is constant tagging and these people sometimes "have fun" behind the thick bushes at night. Then the soccer field contributes to the littering and unwanted noise. Please help.

A: Hoover at Recreation and Parks responded to your concerns:
The Bakersfield Police Department has only had two calls from citizens for Garden Park since 2005. Chief (Greg) Williamson said if it is called, it will respond accordingly.
Public Works has replaced the lights that were out, so they should be all in good working order now. Please encourage citizens to call the city when these things occur so we can correct them, or respond in a timely manner. Thanks.
