Will an Albertsons ever go up at Stockdale and Buena Vista?

Q: What is going on with the property at the southwest corner of Stockdale Highway and Buena Vista Road? It has been empty for a long time, before I bought my house just off the river there. I was told by my real estate agent that an Albertsons grocery store and other small shops were to open but it has been seven years now with nothing being built.
Can you please find out what's up with that property?

A: Albertsons still plans to build a store there but is waiting for housing construction to pick up again first, said Scott Underhill of Grubb & Ellis-ASU & Associates, who represents Albertsons.
