What's going in at Old River and Stockdale?

Q: It appears that a new building is being added to The Shops at River Walk right on the corner of Old River Road and Stockdale Highway by Target. Any news on what is planned to be there?

A: That's a future McDonald's, said Bakersfield Planning Director Jim Eggert. He did not know when the fast-food restaurant will be finished and open. As for any other new developments in that immediate area, Eggert said he had no new news.
