When will the mountain lion be released?

Q: I'm writing with regard to the Bakersfield Californian article (July 16) concerning the mountain lion kitten. Is there a time frame for the animal's release back into the wild (from the California Living Museum)?

A: The mountain lion, Willow, will remain at CALM. CALM takes in animals that cannot make it on their own. She arrived at the zoo sickly and dehydrated. Willow will live at CALM's new mountain lion and bobcat exhibit, which opens in early fall.
