Why can't Ask The Californian run every day?

Q: I love “Ask The Californian.” Why not make it an every day feature?
— Bob Prater
A: That has to be my favorite Ask TBC question ever!
The simple answer is we don’t have enough staff to research and answer enough questions to run Ask The Californian every day. I, the government editor, answer about 90 percent of the questions myself, on top of my many other duties. And, to be frank, we don’t get enough questions to make it a daily feature.
A while back I expanded Ask TBC to run on both Thursdays and Mondays. It used to only run on Mondays. I recently reverted back to only publishing it on Mondays (with a few exceptions) because I’ve been so busy working on election coverage. Hopefully after the election I can resume running Ask The Californian on Thursdays.
