My husband and I owe a huge thank-you to the ER and ICU staff at San Joaquin Community Hospital.

On May 5, I drove my husband from Tehachapi to SJCH, not knowing the seriousness of his chest pains. On the way, he had a major heart attack and, for all intents and purposes, was dead by the time we reached the ER entrance. There were two men -- who looked like they were off duty -- who came to my husband's aid. They started CPR in the parking lot and took him into the ER. I wish I knew who they were so I could thank them by name.

Everyone in the ER was so caring and helpful. I was so glad my husband had paid attention to the hospital's TV ad -- even though he drove me crazy telling me, "Take me to San Joaquin Community Hospital," as the ad suggested.

I cannot thank everyone enough: Dr. Wen, who put a stent in my husband; Zari in ICU, who was so patient with our family; Christine, Jason, Ryan and so many others, as we came and went all hours of the day and night. My husband was given a second chance by the Almighty God, and they allowed themselves to be His instruments.

Thank you all so very much, and God bless everyone for their wonderful spirituality and faith in Him. Thank you to all in ER who worked so hard to bring Pat back to his family. You are all the best!
