Tracey Cowenhoven

Tracey Cowenhoven has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Emerson College in Boston, MA and a Master in Professional Writing from the University of Southern California.

It was while she was slogging through her master's degree that she was lucky enough to get an internship with The Bakersfield Californian.

Her current boss, editorial page editor Dianne Hardisty, discovered her filing in the paper's library and asked her to write a column on the Monica Lewinksy-Clinton scandal, which was erupting at the time. And the rest, as they say, is history. She now works in the editorial department as an Associate Editor, though mostly she still does Dianne's bidding.

In her spare time, she writes novels about vampires in Los Angeles and obsesses about the Boston Red Sox.
