    Mr. and Mrs. William Oxford and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mestmaker are pleased to announce the marriage of their children, Sarah Marie Oxford and Jeffrey Kapral Mestmaker. Sarah and Jeffrey were married on June 20, 2009 on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. Her uncle Jeff Zippi performed the ceremony in front of 75 family and friends who traveled from various destinations in the United States and Thailand. Uncle Jeff also married her parents 27 years ago. The wedding ceremony took place at 5:30 in the evening just before sunset on the grounds of Westin’s Kaanapali Ocean Resort. Guests were welcomed to the reception by Hawaiians dressed in their native costumes. Dinner and dancing continued with the Pacific Ocean as a beautiful backdrop.
    Sarah is a 2002 graduate of Centennial High School in Bakersfield. She received her Associates of Science degree in Human Biology from Bakersfield College. She will be receiving her degree in Nursing in May. Jeff is a 2001 graduate of Garces Memorial High School. He received a B.A. in Economics from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, California. He is a wealth advisor and partner in the firm, Mestmaker and Petrey Wealth Advisors located in Bakersfield.
    The couple honeymooned in Kaui, Hawaii and has made Bakersfield their home. They are very thankful for all the family and friends who traveled to make their day so special.
