Chvala-Hodson Wedding
With happiness, Nancy and James Chvala of Bakersfield, announce the marriage of their daughter Joslyn Rose to Kevin Glen Hodson, son of Harriet and Glenn Hodson also of Bakersfield.
On December 12, 2009, family and friends gathered together to witness the joyous event of the two, exchanging marriage vows with God, at the Tropicana wedding chapel in Las Vegas.
The wedding party was a special assembly of family and close friends. Maid of honor was the bride’s sister Jessica Kanda. The best man was a friend of the groom, Bryce Whitaker.
Bridesmaids were friends of the bride Lauren Rodriguez, Natalie Serda and the sister of the groom Amy Etchechury. The groomsmen were Mike Etchechury, brother of the groom, James Chvala, brother of the bride and Joaquin Valladares, cousin of the Bride.
Though the wedding couple both grew up, went to high school, and spent a few years hanging around Bakersfield, the two ultimately met at a CSUB barbeque.
Joslyn is a recent graduate of the Kern County Sherriff’s Office academy and works as a Deputy Sherriff.
Kevin has embarked on owning his own business as he has earned his California Electrician Certification.
Together with their son Ryan Glen, they purchased their home in Bakersfield.
With their new careers ahead of them, their family wishes them the very best.
