Jacqulene Skinner and David Maegert
Jacqulene Skinner, formerly of Bakersfield and David Maegert of Switzerland are happy to announce their engagement that took place in Thun, Switzerland during the holiday season.
Jacqulene and David mat last year in Switzerland while Jacqulene was traveling in Europe as youth counselor for a church mission trip. Jacqulene, a 2001 graduate of Centennial High School, received her Bachelor of Science degree from Humboldt State University in 2006. She resides in San Luis Obispo where she is employed by Mountainbrook Community Church as Junior High Youth Director.
David, a native of Switzerland, was educated in Switzerland and later graduated from the Los Angeles Music Academy in instrumental music. He is active in both Christian worship music as well as other music groups in Switzerland.
Jacqulene was a guest of the Maegert family in Thun, Switzerland during the month of January where the couple enjoyed the Swiss Alps winter sports, including snowboarding; they also attended the snowboarding World Cup. An engagement party is planned for March 20, 2010 where family and friends will celebrate the engagement, as wedding plans are being made.
