BREAKING NEWS!!!
THELDA (“NANA”) CARNAHAN TURNS 90 TODAY
Thelda Carnahan (better known as “Nana” to her family and friends) turns 90 years young today - Friday, April 30, 2010.

“Nana” has created her own personal legacy in Kern County after moving to Lamont when her husband Bill was discharged from the Army Air Corps. She and Bill raised their family in Lamont where she was originally employed by the County Justice Court System. She became Supervisor David Head’s Administrative Assistant during his tenure. She retired from the County following her work with David Head but was recalled into County service to reorganize the County Justice Court System and hire the justices who would serve the county in this system (she really just wanted another retirement party!!!).

She is a founding member of the Lamont Women’s Club with 60 plus years of service with that community volunteer organization and has continued to be active in Lamont volunteer activities in spite of moving to Bakersfield in her retirement.

Happy Birthday (Mom - Nana) with all our love, from your family and friends.  Because of you our lives (and the lives of all you have touched <except your son in law>) are so much richer.

Your Daughters: Judy Kahler and Jill Borgsdorf (and son in law Larry).
Your Grandchildren & Spouses:  Kevin & Leslie Simpson, Lance & Colene Borgsdorf and Shelly & Dave Howlett.
Your Great Grandchildren:  Brock & Tyler Simpson, Landon & Chase Borgsdorf, Tara, Dave & Delaney Howlett, and Zachary Perkins.

The love and devotion you have shown your family and friends throughout your amazing lifetime is not only appreciated, but is a great inspiration to us all.

With love and honor we wish you a happy 90th Birthday (and many more!).
