Letters to the editor should be no longer than 250 words, signed by just one person and may be edited for length, grammar and clarity regardless of submitted length. Letters must be the original work of the stated author; letters based in whole or in part on the writings of others will be rejected.

Letters sent by post, fax or hand delivery may be delayed by processing.

The Californian reserves the right to edit and re-print contributed commentary in any format, including on the newspaper's website, The Californian strives to encourage open, fair and balanced public debate.
