Daniel Wright and Sean Lucas combined on a six-hitter to lead the Bakersfield Blaze to a 5-0 victory over the Lancaster JetHawks in Saturday night's California League game at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

Wright allowed just four hits in six innings, striking out five and walking two to improve to 9-4. Lucas pitched the final three scoreless innings to register his first save.

Marquez Smith hit his 26th homer for Bakersfield, a three-run shot in the fifth to cap the game's scoring.

Smith, Sean Buckley, Joe Hudson and Harold Riggins each had two hits for the Blaze, who close the series with Lancaster today at noon.

Sebastian Elizalde and Hudson each had RBI hits in the fourth inning to open the scoring.
