Chris Stratton pitched six strong innings, and Jesus Galindo had three hits, including a triple, and two runs Thursday to lead the San Jose Giants to a 6-2 victory over the Bakersfield Blaze in a California League baseball game at Municipal Stadium.

The Blaze scored two unearned runs while Stratton was pitching, but he struck out nine, walked only one and scattered five hits. Reliever Mason McVay pitched two scoreless innings and Bryce Bandilla worked a scoreless 9th for the Giants (12-9).

Zach Vincej had two of the Blaze's seven hits, and Juan Perez added a double.

Bakersfield (11-10) begins a four-game set in Modesto starting tonight.
