The Warren Junior High girls basketball team defended their title last Saturday in the large school division County Championship. They won their district also with a record of 22-0. The American Kicks Taekwondo team came home with several medals after the Twin Tigers Tournament on March 16 in Oxnard, CA. Basketball

Bakersfield Christian High is hosting a Spring Basketball Camp for boys in grades 2-8. Camp is April 14-17, Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to noon. Early registration is $100 before April 1. Head boys' basketball coach Brian Dignan will direct the camp, which focuses on teaching basketball fundamentals, as well as individual, and team competitions. Tennis

Two new sessions of the Lifetime Tennis Program for adults will start the last week of March at the Bakersfield Racquet Club. A Wednesday evening session will begin March 26 and run from 6-7:30 p.m. for six consecutive Wednesdays. A Saturday session (10-11:30 a.m.) will begin March 29 and run for six consecutive Saturdays. There will be instruction on the fundamentals of basic tennis, as well as tactics and strategies of playing a match. The first four weeks are focused on lessons and drills, and the last two weeks are set up for actual league play. Art Sherwyn, John Marble and other other qualified instructors will lead the classes.
