VISALIA -- The Bakersfield Blaze's rally fell short in a 5-4 loss to the Visalia Rawhide in Saturday night's California League action.

Trailing 5-2, Bakersfield pulled to within a run in the eighth when Junior Arias led off with a single and one out later scored on a home run by Seth Mejias-Brean.

Mejias-Brean was 2-for-4 in his first game with the Blaze, and Arias also added two hits for Bakersfield, which pcloses out its season with games today and Monday at Visalia.
