The Stockton Ports did most of their damage in a five-run fifth and limited the Bakersfield Blaze to just four hits en route to a 7-1 victory Sunday at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

A walk, two singles and a double by Addison Russell gave Stockton a 2-0 lead.

Following an inditional walk and an RBI ground out, Antonio Lamas blooped a two-run single to right to give the Ports a 5-0 lead.

Bakersfield's Juan Silva hit his third home run of the season in the bottom half of the fifth. The ball glanced off the glove of Centennial graduate Dusty Robinson in rightfield and onto the catwalk.

Another bright spot for the Blaze was reliever Brooks Pinckard, retiring all seven batters he faced.

Ryan Wright went 2-for-3 for Bakersfield.

The Blaze (17-32) head on the road for a quick three-game series in San Jose starting today at 2 p.m.
