Inland Empire used a five-run second inning to blow past the Bakersfield Blaze for a 7-2 victory on Tuesday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.

Alex Yarbrough collected three doubles and Zachary Borenstein had two home runs and four RBIs for the 66ers, which play the Blaze in the rubber game of the series tonight at 7:15 p.m.

Juan Perez led the Bakersfield offense, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Joe Terry provided both RBIs for the Blaze with a first-inning double for a 2-0 lead.

Bakersfield starter Jonathan Moscot allowed six runs over 41/3 innings, yielding nine hits and two walks while striking out one.

Bakersfield, which started the season 0-8, is now 2-11. The Blaze are last in the 10-team California League with a .207 team batting average and 38 runs scored.

Bakersfield sits eighth with a 5.65 team ERA.
