SAN DIMAS -- Kevin Antongiovanni's 5-over-par 77 was the top score Monday for the Bakersfield College men's golf team, which placed sixth among seven teams in a Western State Conference tournament at San Dimas Golf Course.

College of the Canyons, led by medalist Sidney Wolf's 70, won the team title with a score of 369, and was followed by host Citrus (384) and Glendale (387).

Other scorers for BC, which totaled 404, were Neil Bautista (78), Travis Millwee (80), Paul Cooper (84) and Jake Jacobus (85).

Jam's Butch honored

Bakersfield Jam center Brian Butch was named NBA D-League Performer of the Week for games played April 1-7. The honor is the first for Butch of his career.

Butch helped the Jam to a 3-0 week to close the regular season and clinch the West Division title. He played in two games, averaging 27.5 points (shooting 69 percent from the field), 15.0 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and 34.5 minutes.

Bakersfield opens its first-round series against Austin (Texas) on the road Thursday.
