Taylor Thompson scored 23 points and added eight assists and six rebounds to pace the Fresno State women's basketball team to a 77-68 victory over Cal State Bakersfield at the Icardo Center.
It was the ninth straight loss for CSUB (2-15), which shot a season-high 51 percent from the field.
The Roadrunners were 26-of-51 from the field, 14-of-25 (56 percent) in the second half. The Bulldogs (8-5) led 34-29 and pushed to the lead to seven early on in the second half. CSUB closed the gap to 45-44 with 12:47 to go, but proceeded to commit turnovers on four of their next seven possessions, enabling the Bulldogs to stretch the lead to 10 with 5:52 to go.
CSUB cut it to 64-59 but could get no closer.
Janae Coffee led CSUB with 21 points, nine rebounds, and six blocks. Ciarra Ford posted a season high 17 points. Redshirt sophomore Dajy Vines also recorded a season high in points with 12.
Ki-Ki Moore tallied 21 points while Rosie Moult had 15 for Fresno State.
CSUB outrebounded the Bulldogs 30-24, but Fresno State went to the free throw line 17 more times than the Roadrunners (26-9) and made 22 of its tries.
The Roadrunners (2-15) visit Nevada on Saturday.
