"I thought in the very beginning we had the first- playoff-game jitters a little bit," BC coach Carl Ferreira said. "We let some balls land and it was very uncharacteristic of how we play. I just kept preaching to them to keep communicating, keep helping each other and that they keep going because I knew they would find their rhythm.
"I thought that once Samantha served a 6-0 run for us that really kind of settled us down and we took that momentum into the second set."
Outside hitter Editza Urias led BC with 14 kills, and outside hitter Alyssa Mathews added 11 kills, 16 digs and two aces.
