ONTARIO -- The Bakersfield Condors tied the contest 2-2 midway through the third period, but could not find a game-winner Sunday and lost 5-2 to the Ontario Reign at Citizens Business Bank Arena.

After a scoreless first period, the Reign picked up two early power-play goals in the second period from Colten Yellow Horn at 1:04 and Derek Couture at 8:13 to take a 2-0 lead.

After being held shotless for the majority of the period, the Condors capitalized on a late power play as Trevor Hendrikx snapped a wrist shot from the right circle with 30 seconds left in the frame to cut the deficit in half at 2-1.

Hendrikx scored his second of the night to tie the game at 2-2, 10:32 into the third period, but Ontario would respond with the next three goals, including an empty-netter.
