Ultimate Cheer All-Stars is partnering with Kiara's Cause to foster knowledge and support for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Kiara's Cause was created by cheer teammates and national cheerleading champions Kiara Nowlin, Jenee Cruise and Bianca Treger to generate awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) and help JDRF raise funds for T1D research. Jenee was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 6. Her goal is to show that having T1D should not hold you back from achieving your dreams. Ultimate Cheer for a Cure unites local middle school, high school, recreational and all-star cheer and dance teams (preschool to adult) to showcase their talent and promote JDRF's mission to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. The event will be held from 10 a.m.-noon Nov. 10 at Cal State Bakersfield's Icardo Center. Registration for the event is open. Spectator admission is $7. Proceeds benefit Kiara's Cause and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. To make a donation, request additional information, or to enter a team, contact Corri Raub (661) (661) 619-8821 or e-mail Ultimateallstars@live.com.
