The Bakersfield Inferno 13U baseball club won its second tournament in three weeks at the Northwest Baseball complex taking the 2010 Winter Blast hosted by the Bakersfield Crusaders. The Inferno, seeded third after pool play, outscored opponents 29-2 to win the semifinal and final on Sunday. Hans Taekwondo Academy of Bakersfield won 26 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals at the Simi Valley Friendship Tournament on Dec.11. Bakersfield Bullets went 4-0 and won the 10U title in the Winter Blast Baseball Tournament Dec. 11-12 at Northwest Baseball Facility. The Bullets beat the Tehachapi Trojans 12-2 and Bakersfield Thunder 6-4, seeding them No. 1 for Day 2. They beat the Trojans again 16-4 sending them to the championship, in which they beat the Bakersfield Bulldogs 6-3, led by Vincent Moroyoqui's solo home run. The 11U Bakersfield Bombers Baseball team played up in the 12U A division in the Winter Blast tournament over the weekend at the NW Baseball facility, earning wins on Saturday over the Bakersfield Renegades 11-2 and the Bakersfield Dirtbags 9-4. On Sunday with the top seed the Bombers beat the Bakersfield Renegades 8-0. The Bombers beat the Bakersfield Web Gems 11-1 for the title. The Bombers' roster includes: Anthony Baldridge, Elijah Brum, Daniel Garcia, Andres Garza, Alex Garza, Andru Marion, Ryan Reese, RJ Senining, Jalen Smith and Jared Toothman. American Academy of Gymnastics Boys Gymnastics Team, which trains at American Kids Sports Center, captured one team title along with some impressive showings at its first competition this season, the Southern California First Prelim, Dec. 11-12 in Chatsworth.

American's Level 5 (10 and older) team dominated the competition, winning 5 out of 6 events on its way to a 16-point victory.

At last weekend's So Cal Winter Regional Classic in Anaheim, American Cheer earned earned six titles and six bids to the All-Levels championships in April. Tiny Level 1 -- 1st place; Mini Level 1 -- 1st place; Junior Level 1 -- 1st place; Youth Level 3 -- 1st place; Junior Level 4 -- 1st place; Senior Level 2 -- 1st place. Teams are coached by: Jennifer Dunn, Michael Chow, Jessica Rupe, Ashley Pazzi, Rene Alvarado and Javier Muratalla.
