While reading syndicated columnist Froma Harrop's Dec. 4 article, "Meet the undressed: Newswomen on TV," I couldn't help but recall the numerous times first lady Michelle Obama has been on TV for an event or interview showing off her bare arms.

Harrop writes about two recent female panelists on "Meet the Press," their "arms naked to the world," and how the "babe rule" accepted in entertainment shows is not appropriate for news programs. That is exactly how I feel about a first lady.

And before people start thinking I am envious or jealous of those toned arms of hers -- and I know she has worked hard for those biceps -- please, there's a time and place to show them off! Have some class and dress appropriate, Mrs. Obama; you are representing the women of America.
