I enjoyed reading Herb Benham's column about Trader Joe's employee Bryan Kelly and his wonderful surprise from longtime customer Virginia ("Value of good customer service: $5,000," Nov. 4).

Many of us would echo that thank you because Bryan is a highlight of many a Trader Joe's visit. I for one have enjoyed his recipes, banter and consider the day a little brighter when I find him at the sampling counter.

We need little bright spots, so thank you, Trader Joe's and Bryan.
