We as Americans are free to teach our faith to our families and to others, to open churches, schools and charities and to evangelize the broader culture. Unfortunately, other lands suffer persecution today due to deprivation of human rights and religious freedoms.
We are free to visit nursing homes, volunteer at soup kitchens or sit at the hospital bedsides of friends and relatives. Our faith has the freedom to breathe, to think out loud and to build and to work tirelessly for the things we love.
On this Independence Day, let us pray and hope that we will not be in darkness and oppression. We cherish liberty and we should educate everyone on the importance of religious liberty. The culture of death is around us. Let us preserve our American ideals, courageously live our faith and boldly profess it, and love God and our neighbor. God is with us and victory is undoubtedly our reward.
