Cal State Bakersfield celebrated its first full athletic year in the Western Athletic Conference in style Thursday night with the annual ROWDY Awards Show at the Fox Theater.

Seventeen department-wide awards were handed out, with swimmer Mitchell Huxhold and basketball player Tyonna Outland taking home the Flachmann Awards for best male and female athlete.

Men's basketball standout Issiah Grayson won the prestigious President's Award, presented by CSUB president Horace Mitchell to an outstanding Roadrunners student-athlete.

Junior wrestler Bryce Hammond, an All-American, received the Best Individual Athletic Contest award for males for his title defense at the Pac-12 Conference Championships, and Michaela Paige won the female award for winning four events at the WAC Swimming Championships.
