Basic Needs Foundation Inc. will hold a spay/neuter mobile clinic in the Lake Isabella area on June 7 for low-income residents.
Residents must sign up ahead of time. There are 49 slots.

Or they can sign up through the Lake Isabella Shelter, whose phone number is 760-378-1131 and address is 14891 Highway 178, Lake Isabella, 93240. Or they can pick up a form at Junk and Disorderly shop in town, 5121 Lake Isabella, #B, Lake Isabella, CA 93240.
The clinic is only open to residents of the Kern River Valley who earn $35,000 or less annually or are on some type of government subsidy. Proof is required.
This clinic is for large breed dogs only. Puppies must be at least 8 weeks old and be a large breed such as pit bull, shepherd, husky, etc.
There is a $35 co-pay or whatever the dog's owner can afford. There's a limit of two dogs per family.
Basic Needs has held several mobile spay/neuter clinics in the Lake Isabella area since 2011 and has altered more than 600 pets.
The foundation still needs help with funding for the June event and a planned July event for the Ridgecrest area.
